How to review and improve AI outlines before triggering article generation
What is a Guide?
A Guide is a detailed outline for an article: title, H2/H3 sections, estimated word count, and internal link suggestions. The AI uses this structure to write consistent, well-organized articles.
The flow
- Keyword approved → Guide queue
- Guide Writer AI analyzes the keyword + brand voice → generates outline
- Guide status:
PendingReview→ you review - Approve → article writing begins
Reviewing a guide
Check for:
- Title: Does it include the target keyword? Is it compelling?
- Structure: Are the sections logical? Is the flow right for the reader?
- Estimated length: Right for the content type (how-to vs. overview vs. deep dive)?
- Internal links: Are the suggested link targets relevant?
Editing outlines
You can edit the outline before approving — the AI will write the article based on your edited version. This is the highest-leverage edit you can make.
Click Edit, modify the sections, then Save and Approve.
Regenerating
Not happy with the outline? Click Regenerate and the AI will produce a new version. Each regeneration counts against your monthly guide quota.
Tips
- A good outline = a good article. Spend 2 minutes on the outline to save 20 minutes editing the article.
- Add specific sub-points to H2s if you know what the section should cover.
- Remove sections that aren't relevant to your audience.
